Locate the folder
c:\users\username\my documents\my games\fasterthanlight

-Just To Unlock All Ships.-
Copy over the file ae_prof.sav into the (fasterthanlight save folder) to unlock all ships. Backup ae_prof.sav file to save the previous progress.

-Start With Unlimited Scrap.-
Copy over the ae_prof.sav and continue.sav file into the (fasterthanlight save folder). Start the game and then press continue. You can continue a new game and start with 8,000 scrap for any ship.

I can't guarantee the save state files will work for everyone in the future. One game update could prevent the save states from working.

For those who know how to use hex edit. Start the game, save it. Open the file continue.sav

Find 1E00 or 0A00 Replace it with 401F

1E00 or 0A00 is the starting scrap values. 401f is the value of 8,000. For modifying existing save game, search for the scrap value using signed or unsigned short. G/Luck/Null/Chummers.
