Texas Walking Tour (Sixth Street Historic District, Austin)

This is a video walking tour of the Sixth Street Historic District in Austin, Texas. The district covers a nine-block area of East Sixth Street roughly between Lavaca Street to the west and Interstate 35 to the east. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places on December 30, 1975. The area around 4th Street and 6th Street has been a major entertainment district since the 1970s. Many bars, clubs, music venues, and shopping destinations dot the area, and traffic is generally blocked on weekends evenings and special events.
