The pulpit is not a TED Talk or comedy club. The man of God is not to preach himself, or his wardrobe, but Christ and Him crucified. Preachers are not entertainers; they are heralds of divine truth. When the applause is louder than the conviction, you can be sure someone’s preached themselves instead of the Word.
