Notice the bright colors, sharp details, and seam to seam coverage that are possible with this process. So what IS dye sublimation? To put it simply, it is a printing process in which we apply an image to a polyester garment using three key ingredients--sublimation ink, heat, and pressure. The unique thing about this process is that we are actually dying the fibers of the shirt instead of printing on top of it. With heat and pressure, the ink turns into a gas, and bonds with the polyester fibers. This allows for an incredibly vibrant, soft-handed, and durable image.
