Описание к видео Re-engineering for Sustainability

As concern for the environment and the impact of global warming grows, organisations are increasingly being challenged to improve the sustainability of both their products and their production systems. While many see this as a necessary on-cost to meet growing legislation, more progressive organisations are embracing the opportunity and embracing sustainable thinking.

Engineers involved in product and production system development have a huge opportunity to take a strong lead in these challenging times.

In this webinar the idea of a “circular economy” is explored and encourages engineers to rethink their product development process to consider the full product lifecycle and beyond to achieve sustainability.

This is the second webinar in the series "Treasuring the planet’s resources for the future".

Join this webinar to hear from the following speakers:

Harvey Leach, a mechanical engineer by training and spent over 25 years working in a variety of roles through the whole product lifecycle in the automotive industry - from research, through product development to production strategy. Since 2004 he has been applying this breadth of experience as a consultant, trainer and coach, helping multi-functional teams to work collaboratively to bring products to market better and faster at lower cost.

Tom Festa, an MBA-qualified Chartered Engineer who has worked and led Vehicle Projects for MINI BMW for over 20 years. Now an Engineering Management consultant who lectures at Oxford Brookes University (Engineering Mgmt Ethics and Sustainability) and is a trainer for the IMechE.
