The difference between Kit Mode and Instrument Mode is that in instrument mode the effects and parameters you adjust are applied globally across the pads, since you are creating a playable instrument. Want to create a new 8 octave instrument with a choir sample you loaded? Or maybe you want to layer 3 synths, a hit, and a sub-bass from the BTV library and create a new mega-synth? Do it all with ease in Instrument Mode. Just drag the samples to the pads, add layers if you want, and select how many octaves you want the instrument spanned across.
