The problem with this game is the exp/lvl system. Everything from your stats (hp, def, str, etc), exp gained, and enemy stats get exceptionally increased every level.

This is why from level 1 to 2 you'll see new shields add like 1.3 defense, but in the forties you'll see half a mil jumps.

See, you almost always get to a new (on hard) level way too weak, taking like 5-6 combos per kill. Then you leave, and return, it'll take 1-2. It sucks as if you leave again, you'll be over powered. Even if you weren't, you are now overpowered beyond belief for prior levels, killing replayability.

While doable with humans, it's nearly impossible to beat later levels first try on hard. You'll be solo by the second screen, fighting 100+ enemies who will do 3x your damage with 3x the health.

Remember, you start with like 50hp. I had like 39mil at endgame. Everyone else had like 24mil as they were a level or two lower.
