anyway, about the AU,
This is where the heart of etheria thing wasn't stopped, and Shera / Adora was killed in the process so the sword isn't destroyed. Catra feeling hurt after realising Adora is dead somehow find the sword and confronted Glimmer and argues with her here. Glimmer here thinking that the rebellion won and telling Catra about it, but Catra argues and she goes off to try and eliminate Lighthope.

I know not the best but hey-
