Playing along with the superb Mr Knopfler - and one of my favourite riffs - this song is a lesson in how to utilise 3 chords! - I don't play an exact 'claw hammer' style, probably because I've always played larger hollowbodied guitars - but manage to keep up! - somehow!
- the gretsch 6120 sounds great with this - and slightly differs to the typical solid bodied sound that usually typifies the sound of this riff
- this is the fantastic 'Walk of Life' from 1985.
