The Battle of Haldighati was a battle fought on 18 June 1576 between the armies of the Rana of Mewar, Maharana Pratap, and the Mughal emperor Akbar's forces, led by Man Singh I of Amber.
Haldighati is famous for its history of Maharana Pratap sing battle with Mughal Army in 1576 AD. It is also the place where Maharana Beloved Horse Chetak lost his life while trying to save the king in the same bottle. After the battle Maharana Pratap Singh constructed Memorial for Chetak here.
