Hazrath mothi baba shrine in egmore have a very beautiful atmosphere and all devotees gets all grace of Allah by the blessings of the Sufi saint.

Popularly known as ‘Moti Baba Darga’ This is the final resting place of Muslim Saint Hazrat Khaja Gulam Dasthagir Mothi Baba. His Tile is Qutub- E - Aqtab Moti Baba.It is one of the most important durgas. Mothi Baba became a friend of Hazrath Kadir Wali of Nagore.
He came to Chennai from Nagapattinam in 1949 and he lived with Janab H. A. G. Dastagir Sheriff & Family at 422, Pantheon, Road, Egmore, Chennai- 8 for 10 years. That time one of sheriff family member has asked Mothi Baba where you born from and where is your family? Mothi Baba told he were born and lived in the Hyderabad, Nanasad Street. Then Mr.Sheriff has searched that particular Nanasad Street, in Hyderabad with the support of one IPS officer the government record shows that Nanasad Street was there before 200 years back. That time all the devotees were understood Mothi Baba is living more then 350 years. After Mothi Baba attained samadhi in Egmore , Chennai devotees are calculated his age he lived 375 years this sign is still there in Mothi Baba’s Dargah. He breathed his last in same place in 1959. Saint of great spiritual heights he did his best for the upliftment of mankind. His anniversary of Kandoori Urs (known as ‘Sandana Koodu’) is celebrated during Hijra Era Dul-Haj month 25th & 26th every year. Special prayers are held on every Thursday & Sundays in the Darga at 7 PM.
