For half a century, Leslie Ernest Lye entertained millions. From toddlers to the elderly and the generations in between, Les Lye always had us laughing.

CFRA - CKEY Radio, Les created voices bring many characters off the comic strip and into our homes during Uncle Les Hour.

Abercrombie, his alter-ego eventually got equal time on the radio in discussions and opinions.

Newspapers (as a Writer and as a the topic/subject from others), stage productions, live meet and greets, setting up the Children's Hospital, Actra Ottawa and so many other things...

Like, in helping to create a children's TV Station, saving another children's station, saving Global (with Bill Luxton and other important CJOH people)

Floyd, of Uncle Willy and Floyd Show ran for 22 years.

During retirement, he returned to TV in "You Can't Do That on Television" and had a great 10 year run, that also spawned off more cartoon voices, Professor Coldheart (Carebears) Quellor (Teddy Ruxpin) Dennis the Mennace, Raccoons and many others.

We owe Les Lye and the men and women who worked together for a better TV experience.
