Artist Book Made From A Single Sheet

Описание к видео Artist Book Made From A Single Sheet

In this video, I demonstrate how to make an artist book from a single sheet of watercolour paper. I use the zig zag meandering fold (4 x 4 fold) to construct the book.

You will see how you need to fold the paper to get the cut lines, and after cutting or tearing the paper, how to fold the sheet into a single book.

Materials used in the project:
- 1 sheet of Stonehenge watercolour paper (300gsm, A2 size) - painted on 1 side
- cutting matt, blade & steel ruler (or you can use scissors)
- bone folder (or you can use the handle of your scissors) - to sharpen the creases in your paper.

I like to make marks and paint on one side of the paper, because when you cut the sheet into the book format, you get a lovely random selection for each book spread. I then work on these, adding more details, marks and collaging elements into the book to make each spread interesting to the eye.
