George Lucas & Kathleen Kennedy discuss STAR WARS, LUCASFILM and Disney | 2012 interview

I don't post this to hate on her. I am just posting past interviews that I feel are still very relevant to what is happening.

An older interview from 2012, just as George Lucas was selling Lucasfilm to Disney and handing over the leadership role to Kathleen Kennedy as they both reflect on the sale of Lucasfilm and Star Wars. Even though this interview is over a decade old it is still really relevant and telling to the current situation with the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises. It also shows IMO how Kathleen Kennedy with Lucasfilm and Disney never intended to use any of the story treatments for epiosde 7, 8 ,9 or to protect and continue the legacy of iconic characters such as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Darth Vader (Anakin Skywalker) and Emperor Palpatine.

Amazing to watch this interview again after so long with the recent release of Indiana Jones and The Dial Of Destiny and the past releases of Star Wars sequel trilogy. KK clearly had a different vision from the start to what George intended, it's a shame that she's so publically agreed and stated that she was aligned with Lucas's vision in the past. Knowing that story treatments were there and weren't used to any capacity kills me. Having KK state that she was all for protecting Star Wars characters legacy then to have them treated so poorly and torn down to build up the new sequel characters (Rey Palpatine/Skywalker) also hurts to hear.
