Описание к видео Petroglyphs, Grist Mill and Historic Log Cabins In Pickens SC

The Hagood Mill Historic Site is located at 138 Hagood Mill Road in Pickens, South Carolina. It has over 50 acres of things to see and experience and the history that is this site is incredible. If you haven't been to the site, I would urge to you to visit as I know you will not be disappointed.

There is the Hagood Grist Mill that was originally built in 1845 by James Hagood and is still functional today. It sits beside the Hagood Branch and water from that branch powers the mill to this day.

The Hagood Creek Petroglyph Site is located next to the Hagood Mill and this is a very interesting building to tour. Inside you will see Native American artifacts from the Paul West Collection, portable petroglyphs and Indian photographs taken by photographer Frank Rhinehart. The main attraction of this building is the petroglyph boulder. This is an amazing site to see and is presented in a way that allows you to view the petroglyphs and learn the history behind them.

The site also has historic cabins, locations that pay homage to Native Americans, two bridges, a nature trail, an earthen oven, a blacksmith shop, cotton gin, a moonshine still and much more.

There is a lot to see and do here and they have special programs and shows throughout the year. They also have space for you to camp if you choose. Please check out their web site. I have listed the link below.
