What test cases to design for Rest APIs?

Since API allows User Interface(UI) agnostic development, which is great for the project but imposes challenges for testers to test the api response separately. So, broadly speaking, we have to test the following aspects of restful api response:-

1. json schema validation
2. Content (Body) validation
3. Headers testing which includes general, response and entity headers and
4. Response time, with and without caching

Especially with headers we should know which headers should show up and which should not and what values they should carry.

Now, how to design tests to test each of these categories in postman? I created this video to answer the same.

A separate video is created for json schema validation since it is a broader topic in itself.
