Olympus BLH-1 battery test with a surprise winner

Описание к видео Olympus BLH-1 battery test with a surprise winner

I compared 5 BLH-1 batteries, two Olympus original batteries of different ages (from 2016 and 2018) against 3 different 3rd party batteries, one from Patona (from 2020) and 2 different no-name batteries that still apparently come from the same (unknown) manufacturer.
The batteries were compared by doing time-lapses until each battery ran out, or how it turned out, the camera shut down the time-lapse well before the batteries became totally depleted.
The results indicate how long you can shoot a time-lapse with each battery. By taking into account how much power was left in the battery, it's also possible to compare overall battery performance as well as price/performance ratio.
The (surprise) test winner as a no-name BLH-1 3rd party battery rated for 16,7 Wh. This battery provides best total performance (the rated 16,7 Wh seems very credible), absolute best price/performance and time lapse performance on par with the Olympus batteries due to the fact that - for a reason unknown - the EM-1 cameras stopped the time lapses when there still was 30% power left in the batteries.
The tests were done indoors, at about 20C, using a E-M1 mark ii camera with a Lumix 9/1.7 lens.

The 3rd party batteries were:
Patona: https://www.amazon.de/-/en/Premium-Re... (looks to be a bit more recent packaging but other specs are similar)
The 16,7 Wh battery seems to be sold out at the store where I bought it, to find similar batteries search for "BLH-1 battery 2250 mAh".
