How to Remove Oil Pickup Tube GM 4.2L - Part 1. After an initial diagnosis of low oil pressure with a manual pressure gauge in my 2004 GMC Envoy (~255,000 miles), I decided to investigate the oil pickup tube. Come to find out, it was about 90% clogged!
