Even with a Medical Cannabis card issued from the state of Washington, our medical institutions failed to direct Bevin to the quality of care she expected to receive for her condition after leaving her home in Nashville, Tennessee seeking Medical assistance to withdraw from prescribed pharmaceutical medicines which caused her further disabilities. Too bad Swedish Hospital wouldn't go the distance to prescribe a cannabis-based medicine, Epediolex by GW pharmaceuticals, when I asked them to. "Oh no," they cried, "it hasn't been approved by the FDA."
Bevin died of sudden epileptic death, just 13 days after Epediolex gained FDA approval on June 25, 2018.
