How to light a fire in a fireplace.
This method always works.
Firstly, scrumple plenty of newspaper, about 10 pages and place in the bottom of the fireplace.
Then use twelve sticks of dry kindling. Place three sticks side by side on top of the newspaper, and then three on top of these in an X pattern. Then three more and again to use the twelve.
Then place two small logs upright on each side of the fireplace, lean them together and tilt towards the back of the fireplace to stop them falling out.
Then carefully light the fire and enjoy it.
