In this video I show how gases and liquids behave differently when under pressure. Gases particles have room to compress because there is space between the particles (atoms and/or molecules). Particles in a liquid, on the other hand, are already touching and have essentially no room to get any closer. This is why liquids are generally not able to be compressed. This makes them ideal for transmitting pressure.
