The SOLARIS phase 3 trial looked at high-dose vitamin D in colorectal cancer. Dana-Farber's Kimmie Ng, MD, MPH, says the study didn't show improved survival in advanced disease, but adding high-dose vitamin D to chemo was safe and a potential benefit was seen in left-sided tumors.
