Описание к видео CadPixel Mastering Blender: Design Lego Blocks with Blender

Designing LEGO blocks using Blender is a fun and educational project that can help you learn various aspects of 3D modelling. Here's a step-by-step tutorial to get you started:

Step 1: Setting Up Blender
Download and Install Blender:

If you haven't already, download and install Blender from the official Blender website.
Open Blender:

Launch Blender and create a new project.
Step 2: Basic Navigation and Setup
Basic Navigation:

Use the middle mouse button to rotate around the scene.
Hold Shift and use the middle mouse button to pan.
Scroll the middle mouse button to zoom in and out.
Set Up the Scene:

Press N to open the properties panel.

Designing LEGO blocks using Blender is a fun and educational project that can help you learn various aspects of 3D modeling. Here's a step-by-step tutorial to get you started:
Set the units to millimeters for more accurate modeling. Go to the Scene tab (looks like a cone) and under Units, set Unit System to Metric and Length to Millimeters.

Step 3: Modeling the Basic LEGO Block
Create a Cube:
Press Shift + A and select Mesh Cube.
Scale the cube to the dimensions of a standard LEGO brick. A 2x4 LEGO brick is typically 8mm in height, 15.8mm in width, and 31.8mm in length.

Scale the Cube:
Press S, then Z to scale along the Z-axis. Type 8 and press Enter.
Press S, then Y to scale along the Y-axis. Type 15.8 and press Enter.
Press S, then X to scale along the X-axis. Type 31.8 and press Enter.

Add Cylinders for Studs:
Press Shift + A and select Mesh Cylinder.
In the bottom left corner, adjust the vertices to 16 for a smoother cylinder.
Scale the cylinder to the size of a LEGO stud: 4.8mm in diameter and 1.8mm in height.
Position the cylinder at the correct location on top of the block. Use the G key to grab and move it.

Duplicate the Cylinder:
With the cylinder selected, press Shift + D to duplicate it and move it to the correct position.
Repeat this for all 8 studs on top of the 2x4 block.
Step 4: Detailing the LEGO Block

Add the Inner Tubes:
Create another cylinder for the inner tubes (6.5mm in diameter and 6.4mm in height).
Position it inside the LEGO brick correctly.
Duplicate and position as needed.

Create Indentations:
Use Boolean modifiers to subtract smaller cylinders from the top surface to create the indentations if needed.

Step 5: Applying Materials
Assign Materials:
Select the LEGO brick and go to the Material tab.
Click New to create a new material.
Adjust the color to the typical LEGO colors like red, blue, or yellow.

Step 6: Rendering
Set Up the Camera:

Press Shift + A and select Camera.
Position the camera to get a good view of your LEGO brick.
Set Up the Lighting:

Add some light to the scene using Shift + A Light.
Position the light source to highlight the LEGO brick nicely.

Render the Scene:
Press F12 to render the scene and see your LEGO brick in all its glory.

Step 7: Exporting
Export the Model:
Go to File Export and choose your desired format (e.g., STL for 3D printing).
By following these steps, you should be able to create a basic LEGO brick model in Blender. This foundational project will help you understand more complex 3D modeling techniques. For further learning, consider exploring more advanced Blender tutorials and experimenting with different LEGO designs.
