The Weird Al Show: An Unnecessarily Deep Dive into a Forgotten Cult Classic - Video Essay

Описание к видео The Weird Al Show: An Unnecessarily Deep Dive into a Forgotten Cult Classic - Video Essay

Hey folks, and welcome to my first-ever video! I appreciate you stopping by!
It seemed only fitting that my first video be the best representation of what you'll be seeing from me: retro media history, pop culture analysis, and a whole lot of Weird. Come along as we learn a whole lot of useless facts about a show no one remembers, while I try my best to focus on the camera.

A CORRECTION:
20:47 - Al did NOT direct UHF-- that was his longtime manager, the wonderful Jay Levey. My words got a little twisted here, I meant say to say he wrote it (co-wrote, also with Levey!) and did not catch this in editing! Thank you so much to the folks who pointed it out! I also used whatever clips I had sitting on my computer for this bit, and they're also inaccurate--our man didn't direct either of those videos, either!

Chapters:
1. Weird Al: The Man, The Myth, The Legend 1:33
2. Kid's TV: A Brief History 6:13
3. Peewee Herman 8:31
4. No Fun Allowed: The FCC in the 80's and 90's 14:00
5. The Weird Al Show: A Comprehensive History 20:00
6. The End 45:16

If you like what I do, your support is appreciated! I do everything, from the research and writing to the filming and editing, entirely myself, and I'm excited to see how things evolve from this first attempt. Join me if you want!
