Canoe the Cold River; Adirondacks, November 2021

November: Seasonable temperatures, along with a stretch of clear weather, got November off to a spectacular start. This month's video features a three night canoe trip down Long Lake to the Cold River. Foggy mornings and clear days made for a memorable trip, nights were spent at the Calkins Brook Lean-to, the Lost Channel Lean-to and the Island House Lean-to.

Paddling up the Cold River provides access to the Pine Point trail to Shattuck Clearing. The Seward and Santanoni Ranges are close at hand.
