How To Warp Full Tracks For DJ'ing In Ableton Live

Learn how to find the bpm and beatmatch tracks onto the grid so you can play them in a Live set.

✅ map these keys
🚅 t tempo
🚅 m metronome
🚅 z phase nudge down
🚅 x phase nudge up

✅ simple warp process
1. start with the track un-warped
2. set start marker to exactly where the downbeat starts (zoom in)
3. start the track
4. tap tempo to get the beat (t)
5. turn on the metronome (m)
6. stop and restart the track from the beginning so the metronome matches the downbeats
7. listen to the metronome over the music
8. use phase nudge up/down to beatmatch the metronome in Live to the music (z +x )
9. when you get the Live bpm locked in with the music, stop
10. turn on the Warp switch. wait till it's done analyzing
11. right click on the Start marker and do “Set 1.1.1 here”
12. then go through the track and check the warp markers, add new ones and adjust as needed.

You’re not done until you can mix the track into a set and hear it sound good, from mix-in over another track until mix-out with a new track coming in next.
