Note: The occasional video drop-out from the MiSTer signal is some kind of "signal incompatibility" between the MiSTer output in this case with the Magewell USB+ HDMI capture device. It may not quite like the timing coming out of the MiSTer - whether that's to do with the core, the arcade timing, not quite sure - it doesn't seem to happen with my Elgato device, but it doesn't matter for this timing test.

Conclusion: In contrast to the HF comparison video, this one looks pretty accurate in general. Both boards run at 12MHz, so it's not just a function of that part of the MiSTer core being incorrect - something HF is doing is different (frame skipping?). Frames are +/-1 or 2 throughout the video, which is strange - and the MiSTer core ends up a couple of frames behind. But nothing major (or humanly detectable). Also note the boat bobbing doesn't match very much at all, so unfortunately a very majorly obvious visual element is a fairly big distraction.

My suspicion is that during lag/slowdown, the MiSTer core isn't processing quite as quickly as arcade hardware, and perhaps the Ken/boat/USA background causes more lag than the Blanka/Brazil stage does. Jotego has some ideas, so let's see what he can do to make this core even more accurate, he's done fantastically so far!
