This week we push on with our black water tanks, with the engine almost here we need to race against the clock to get these tanks finished and installed so we can fit the main engine. To do this we need to add the internal strengthening to the tanks, the outer skin of the tanks will be plywood but internally they need to be a solid layer of fibreglass for strength and epoxy resin for the chemical resistance it offers.
This week you can see the way we have designed and constructed the internals of these tanks as well as fitting them to the engine room so we can laser level the tops of the tanks to the final height and we fill a tank to get an exact capacity number.

This has been a built much bigger than we first thought and really interesting, we dont often get to do timber and glass work on Brupeg and it was fun to get into this world a little.
