Vulfpeck - Tee Time (Live cover)

Описание к видео Vulfpeck - Tee Time (Live cover)

I performed this piece for my concert practice assessment for uni.

This piece was composed by Woody Goss as a tribute to the legendary session pianist Richard Tee. The B section features a technique called pumping where you just play continuous 16ths between the left and the right hands, which took me over a year before I could play it cleanly at full speed.

In this video, I used the CP80 electric grand preset on the Nord stage EX, with a tiny amount of chorus and 16th note delay. Until I played the song using this sound, I didn't realise how much of a difference the sound of a keyboard can make to the piece. This piece makes way more sense on an electric grand piano than it does on any other sound.

The drum setup is taken straight from the video clip, the only thing I forgot to organise was the hand claps.

Keys - Harrison Whalan
Kick and snare - Gus Henderson
Hi-hats - Peter Campion
