Linda is a long standing lead facilitator with Lanark County Community Justice. We are so grateful to have volunteers that stay with our organization for 10+ years, they are the soul of the work that we do!

Linda works closely with our Program Coordinator and team of facilitators to bring together people involved in conflict to repair harm, strengthen relationships and build community.
She achieves this by using her Facilitator Training and volunteering her time to prepare cases and communicate with the appropriate individuals involved. Once initial connections have been made, facilitators begin to bring the parties together in a forum, where they will create a safe space to facilitate a positive conversation about the events that took place during the incident, and work together with the involved parties to come to an agreement on how to repair the harm caused.

Forums conducted by facilitators such as Linda are not only a more humanizing and inclusive way to resolve harm from conflict, it is also more time and cost effective than the traditional justice system and sets up the necessary lasting supports to the parties involved to prevent future altercations.
