Ooni of Ife, Oba, Dr. Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has contributed tremendously to the growth and economic development of Nigeria most especially, Ile-Ife his origin, and HIM continues to focus on creating jobs for the unemployed in the Nigeria. Since inception of HIM stall to the throne of Ooni of Ife, he has been able to harmonize the relationships between all the Yoruba Royal fathers/leaders and with the federal government of Nigeria. He has in his efforts visited the Alaafin of Oyo, the king of Oyo Kingdom and other Kings, such as Oba of Ilesa and Alake of Abeokuta. This is an indication of a good leader whose mission is to unify the yorubas globally and the entire Nigeria. His Imperial Majesty’s efforts to create unity among the citizens of Nigeria is not only limited but also to bring the culture taken from the African-Americans to them in order for their empowerment and to identify themselves as Africans and that they are welcome to Nigeria at any point in a given time. Therefore, African-Americans are requested to join us in celebrating the Ooni of of Ife’s visit to the United States
Ooni of Ife, Oba, Dr. Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi’s official visit to the United States was designed to bridge the gaps among all yorubas at home and in diaspora, and also to identify with children of Oduduwa among the Africans-Americans in the United States.
Relatively, Ooni of Ife, HIM, Oba, Dr. Adeyeye’s campaign for development of Ile-Ife being the origin and cradle of the blacks. In other words, Ile-Ife should be made a major tourist center in Africa; hence, Ife will be a great source of revenue for the state (Osun State) and for Nigeria as a whole. Furthermore, Ile-Ife is endowed with a lot of Agricultural Commodities, Solid minerals, ancient arts and sculptures, and as well rich in culture and tradition.
