Описание к видео history of tsimshian people, native americans

The Tsimshian people, often referred to as the Chemmesyans in the past, are indigenous to the Pacific Northwest region of North America. The majority of their settlements are located on Metlakatla, Alaska's sole reserve, Annette Island, and along the coast near Terrace and Prince Rupert, British Columbia. Fourteen thousand Tsimshian people are federally recognized in eight First Nations communities (Kitselas, Kitsumkalum, Gitxaala, Gitga'at at Hartley Bay, and Kitasoo at Klemtu), Lax Kw'Alaams, and Metlakatla, BC.
