Haines Hunter build an impressive range of boats from small runabouts to offshore fishing battle wagons capable of chasing huge fish out wide. The 565R is a id sized trailerable vessel that can comfortably fish inshore and well offshore. It ticks many boxes for anglers and families looking for a boat that both looks the part and is functional too.
Boatadvice journalist Dom Wiseman was most impressed with the ride and expansive cockpit space maximised via a ingenious fold down transom that allows the outboard to tilt up into the cockpit reducing the space wasted on a motor well. This allows Haines Hunter to maximise the onboard space well.
The 'R' series is well known among Haines Hunter fans and has a sporty appearance courtesy of the lowered cabin height and length. This boat in particular was designed for Haines Hunter owner, John Haber and includes a stack of features not seen on the standard offering. Upgraded seats, nifty tackle storage and anchor winch are just a few of the options fitted to the test boat.
The hull itself is very able in any conditions, both well suited to inshore and offshore applications. The well designed running strakes and reverse chine that runs along the length of the hull deflect spray down and away from the boat and you can certainly tell that years of experience have produced a hull that has a fine entry point to cut through chop yet delivers a comfortable on water persona.

Haines Hunter's R series are one of the most popular models in their range and it's not hard to see why. It is a capable mid-sized trailerable vessel with masses on onboard space, options that will keep any discering owner happy and will have you out on the water in no time.
