Whether you're a local SEO specialist looking to generate more leads for his customers or an actual business managing GMBs, this video will expose you to the most effective ranking elements of a map listing. 👍

You'll be amazed by how easy it is - so let's get started. 🤝

1️⃣ On Page Optimization for your GMB listing

✅ GMB Name: Keywords in the title matter! Using your main keyword in the title of your listing is one of the fastest ways to rank high in the maps.

✅ Choose the most targeted primary category.

✅ Choose the most relevant secondary and tertiary categories.

✅ Service areas: a service area business executes a service at the customer's location. Add your service areas to attract the right people to your services.

✅ Website: Add one if you have one, it's important that the website is live and not down. Downtime affects the ranking of your GMB listing.

✅ Business hours: The business hours of your listing should always reflect your true business hours. change business hours during holidays.

✅ Appointment URL: Send your prospects to a URL on your website so that they can schedule an appointment or request a quote for a service.

✅ Services: Add a minimum of 3 services to tell your prospects what your company is all about.

✅ Description: Add a business description to tell your visitors what your company is all about.

Add new posts to your listing regularly! Posting to your listing is a great way to tell Google that your GMB is active. 👌

2️⃣ Reviews

Reviews are an extremely effective marketing tool and ranking factor for your Google My Business listing that every company should capitalize on.

Recent studies have proven that the majority of people will not opt for a company with less than 4 Googe My Business reviews. 😮

Likewise, most people will not try a company with excessive neutral or negative reviews.

Your reputation is everything.

Here's what you need to do: Ask your existing and satisfied customers to leave a review on your Google My Business listing describing their experience with your company. 🧠

Ask for their honest experience with your service and tell them to include some of your keywords in their review.

The more 5-star reviews you'll get, the more leads you'll generate from your listing.

Here's another tip: Reply to each and every review, whether positive or negative. Prospects read all reviews as well as corresponding answers from a business.

3️⃣ Questions & Answers

The questions and answers feature is a great way to prove that you care about your prospects and customers. 🗣

Prospects and customers can ask questions about your business or service. 👍

Make sure to respond to all questions asap to increase the probability of generating the sale and solve issues with existing customers. 🙏

4️⃣ Citations & NAPs

Another effective way to rank your Google My Business listings in the Map pack is through citations and NAPs. ✍️

Citations and naps (name/address/phone number of your business) are mentionings of your business across the web. 📍

Some of the most popular citation sites include but are not limited to Facebook, Youtube, Yahoo, Yelp, Mapquest, Yellow Pages, and Manta.

You're going to need citations if you want to rank high in Google maps in 2020.

5️⃣ Behavioral Signals

Last but not least, we have behavioral signals.

Behavioral signals include click-through-rate actions on your listing such as click to call, click to visit, click to view, and click to request. 🗝
