How to Apply for a TEDx talk? If you’ve been thinking about how to speak at the TEDx event, you already have your idea that you want to share with the world, then this video will get you through the step-by-step process of how to become a TEDx talk speaker.

You’ll know how to apply to get approved to speak at TEDx and what I wish someone told me before I presented a TEDx talk.

First I’ll show you how to find TEDx talks around your area.

Then, you will learn the variety of TEDxTalks categories that you can apply for. You have more chances to get the spot if you apply at least half a year before the event otherwise the event can be already planned.

Finally, we’ll go through several online application forms with tips on how to fill each field. It will work in both cases if you are already a professional public speaker or you don’t have that much experience in speaking on stage.

Remember, the slogan of TED is ideas worth spreading, so if you have an idea that you think may positively impact other people I encourage you to apply for a TEDx talk.

Giving a TEDx talk is big credibility for your personal brand. It will help you to get more speaking gigs and media appearances.

One more thing, people are often get confused between a TEDtalk and TEDxTalk. If this is your first time applying to be a public speaker there, then you better start with TEDx talks as it is quite difficult to become a TED speaker.
