Perched on a hill overlooking the Grasse and Cannes area, Mougins is the French Riviera's artsy village of the French Riviera. It is located in the Alpes-Maritimes department and is only a 15 minute drive from Cannes. It goes without saying that a visit to this medieval town is a must if you are vacationing in this region of France. Mougins is famous amongst art lovers as the place where Picasso spent the last 12 years of his life. If we had to pick one word to describe best Mougins, it would be "picturesque". Mougins has many cobblestone streets with beautiful buildings and boasts with a breathtaking view view of both Grasse and Cannes. Plus, with its many art galeries and sculptures displayed in the streets, the whole town feels like an exhibition. In short, Mougins is one of the most wonderful villages of the Côte d'Azur!
