❝ Trumpeter and composer Michel Schröder is a prominent representative of the next generation of highly skilled musicians currently emerging onto the Hamburg scene. Born in Lübeck, he received his training at Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg, where all the members of his band were studying at the same time. After focusing on a body of work for his large ensemble, he now reunites the quintet, whose members have followed diverging career paths in the meantime: pianist Meinberg and bassist Mueller moved to Berlin, while saxophonist Golz got exposure with the group “Rocket Men”, and drummer Saleh became a key figure in several young bands. ❞
