Fighting back against Poachers in Benin

Sea Shepherd's crew on board the Bob Barker have concluded the third campaign for Operation Guegou, a partnership with the government of Benin (West Africa) to protect their waters -- which include the Mono River Delta, a UNESCO World Heritage site that's home to many critically-endangered species -- from illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing.

We assisted the Beninese Navy with the arrest of three vessels, bringing the total to eight arrests since the beginning of Operation Guegou in May 2019.
