The Canadian Wood Council, as well as this year’s sponsors, Sustainable Forestry Initiative, Western Red Cedar, and Sansin, also granted special awards.

Submissions to the Wood Design and Building Awards program were thoughtful in wood design and execution; weaving wood architecture into the surrounding landscape in a complimentary and often symbiotic way. The awards program is a unique opportunity to pay homage to design and construction teams that are embracing architectural woodwork as a solution to the many challenges that they are faced with, from environmental to urban densification.
