For the fabrication of the fiber Bragg gratings the very different fs lasers can be used - it's depend of Bragg grating step, objective focusing etc.
Basically the pulse energy 100nJ@1030nm is minimal energy that are required for the process starting. We have such model of fs laser and will be happy to send you more details and quote.
For industrial applications the femtosecond lasers with pulse energy around 100uJ, pulse width about 200-300fs at pulse repetition rate 1kHz are widely used.
Please clarify the parameters of Bragg gratings you plan to produce and what productivity of the system is required.
