Scheduled for a hysterectomy mom and dad were completely caught off guard when mom found out she was pregnant. Especially considering she was on birth control! After taking dozens of pregnancy tests, mom and dad announced to the world, that against all odds Miranda was going to be a mommy! Her pregnancy was pretty typical, in fact I can recall a comment from her while still in her first trimester, something to the extent of pregnancy being a piece of cake & she could do it a million times more! But near the last couple months things got a lot harder. Miranda's pelvic bones were starting to separate ... Causing her immense pain. With her due date just around the corner, Miranda was scheduled for an induction. She checked into the hospital Sunday evening and started the procedure. After 2 epidurals and 2 full days of extreme pain with the baby not moving down but the pelvic bones separating more by the hour, mom & dad opted for a c section. Within just 2 hours mom was finally able to hold sweet baby Dolce in her arms! What a roller coaster ride of emotions this birth was!

I feel like its only right to give a big THANK YOU to the hospital staff for taking such good care of Miranda and her baby. From Dr. Jochim to the anesthesiologist and nurses -- you were all fabulous! Miranda had contractions like none other; with such server pelvic pain and exhaustion she was taken care of with the utmost compassion and professionalism.

Miranda, you are so strong! Without a doubt I can say, you are going to be one amazing mommy (in fact, you already are)!
And Jason, with such a calm, cool and collective attitude your daughter is so lucky to be able to call you daddy!
