Описание к видео Trip Report: American Airlines Boeing 737-800 - Hollywood Burbank (BUR) to Dallas Ft. Worth (DFW)

Welcome to another trip report! This report details my second departure from Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR) and my first Burbank departure on an American Airlines Boeing 737-800. Join me as I head to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) for my first visit to DFW during the COVID-19 pandemic. I have previously reported on the reversal of this route over a year ago. I was excited to have another chance to depart from Burbank as the departure out of the airport is one of my favorites. We'll get a look at some SoCal attractions and cities on the climb out of BUR.

Trip Impressions: This was a very pleasant and comfortable flight, especially considering this flight was full during the COVID-19 pandemic. I've flown plenty of times on American's Boeing 737-800 in economy and it's a good product. This flight was no different than any other experience on AA's B737-8 that I've had. I prefer AA's Airbus A321 product as it is much more comfortable and up to date than the AA 737-8. Either way, I had no complaints on this flight! AA did a great job on prioritizing safety on this flight with COVID-19.

I'm a frequent United Airlines customer and I've noticed a huge difference in the COVID -19 in-flight service portion of the flight between the two airlines. United still goes around serving individual drinks and snacks during COVID-19 while American just gives you the bag of water, Biscoff, and sanitizing wipes when you board. I'm going to give United the advantage in this area because I believe customers still enjoy and appreciate the service even during the pandemic (and so do I).

Another point of interest is that Dallas Forth Worth was incredibly quiet as compared to usual. It's not surprising because of the pandemic but since air travel is picking back up, I assumed that the airport would be busier. I was able to find spots where I could social distance, eat, and have some quiet time during my 6 hour layover.

PERSONAL NOTE: I hope the airline industry is able to get back on its feet after COVID-19 as this industry means so much to me and those who are employed by it. I wish the best to every airline, airline employee, flight attendant, pilot, flight controller, and every other person with connection to the airline industry. I'm looking forward to when things pick back up. Also, if you do travel, please make sure it is essential. If it is not, I encourage you to stay home to stop the spread of COVID-19. Stay safe, stay home!
