Let's learn about Verb Singular & Plural Forms or Verb Rules in Subject Verb Agreement in English grammar. Subject Verb Agreement Verb Rules are important because, apart from SUBJECT and OBJECT, Verbs in English can also be Singular and Plural. We add -s/es/ies to a Noun to make it PLURAL but we add -s/es/ies to a Verb to make it SINGULAR. This applies to ACTION VERBS ( say, Play) as well as DO GROUP ( Do, Does; Did ) . But how to find out if an AUXILIARY VERB is SINGULAR or PLURAL? So, HAVE GROUP ( Have, Has, Had) and BE GROUP ( Am, Is, Are; Was, Were ) can be decided through a SIMPLE TRICK which has been explained in the video. In this regard, an important LITERARY DEVICE or FIGURE OF SPEECH called Tautology has been explained so as to avoid errors with regard to VERB SINGULAR PLURAL. Finally, there is a QUIZ to evaluate the learners' progress.
