Grilled Cheese Sandwich Record Challenge in South Carolina!!

A&Z #780 - Atlas vs Pitt Street Pharmacy's Grilled Cheese Sandwich Record Challenge at Pitt Street Pharmacy in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Back in early October 2019, I flew to Charleston, South Carolina to kick off my "4th Quarter 2019" Food Challenge Tour. For challenge #1, I traveled to Mount Pleasant, SC nearby and took on the Grilled Cheese Sandwich Record Challenge at Pitt Street Pharmacy. They have a soda fountain there that serves delicious grilled cheese sandwiches. Back in 2013, someone at 27 grilled cheese sandwiches in less than hour. I was trying to break that record by eating 28 or more. Each sandwich consisted of 2 slices of white bread, 2 slices of American cheese, some butter on the exterior, and some mayonnaise in the middle. BIG thanks to everyone with Pitt Street Pharmacy for the wonderful food and hospitality while there in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. HUGE thanks also to all the many people who came up to watch and meet me that October evening. We appreciate everyone around South Carolina supporting our efforts!! Pitt Street Pharmacy’s Grilled Cheese Record Challenge ($3.75/Sandwich):

Pitt Street Pharmacy in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina serves delicious grilled cheese sandwiches via their soda fountain, and they host a grilled cheese sandwich record challenge!! If you can beat the current record in less than the 1 hour time limit, you win all your sandwiches free, a sweet t-shirt, and your name will go to the top of their leader-board as the new record holder. As of October 2019, the record to beat is now 29 sandwiches. FYI you must beat the record by one whole sandwich, and not just by half of one.
