Electro-Acoustic Music Concert

New electro-acoustic works by students from the Conservatorium and the wider University. Cutting edge-noise conjured with microphones, portable sound recorders and digital processing; bringing the natural world into the sphere of sound art.

Students were given a brief to record sounds from the natural and constructed world, upload those recordings into a digital audio workstation and make musically-informed sonic art with those sounds.

These works tell us something about what our world currently sounds like. Informed by isolation and lockdown, but also reaching beyond borders. This presentation of works by these talented students lasts around one hour; we hope you enjoy what they’ve imagined!
