The 45 (and 78) rpm single pressings of Richard’s follow-up release to “Good Golly Miss Molly” were sped-up noticeably from the original master tape. Some CD versions or YouTube posts of the title are of either the lower-pitched master or a later remake recording. This song was the inspiration for Ritchie Valens’ “Ooh, My Head” later in the year.
