GBO2 GM Sniper III: Sniping generals from miles away!

Описание к видео GBO2 GM Sniper III: Sniping generals from miles away!

This video contains two recent matches I had with the LV1 and LV2 GM Sniper III (Mid Range Support Unit) on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 400-450 cost support with gigantic damage scoped sniper shots, a high power cannon that fires 3 shots at once alongside pretty good mobility. Its primary weakness is that it is very squishy, and that it relies on scoping in to get its best damage output. This is one of those suits that I don't really see people play that much for some reason, despite it being a pretty strong option. On the right maps you can basically take a good position then freely shoot down at enemy generals with your high damage sniping options. My aim kind of fell off in the second match, but if you can snipe accurately like I was able to do in the first match, then you can easily take away most of a generals HP from halfway across the map. I hope that you enjoy watching!

Its primary weapon at LV2 is a beam sniper rifle with 1450 (2750) power, 3 ammo, 5 seconds cooldown, 13 seconds reload, 1.3 seconds swap time, 605m (705m) range, 4 seconds focus time and 10% (80%) stagger value. Uncharged shots deal mediocre damage but instant stagger. Charged shots consume two ammo but the power is doubled. When scoped in for the 30% damage bonus from Precision Sniping, this can hit generals for around 5000 damage with charged shots. You can charge and fire while on the move, so don't always feel forced to snipe with this.
Its primary melee weapon at LV2 is a beam saber with 2310 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time and standard modifiers. The suit lacks balancers but the great power of this weapon lets you do serious damage to generals or other supports in the rare situations you can get to swing it.
Its first sub weapon is a bullpup machine gun with 145 power, 30 ammo, 360 RPM, 10 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 250m range, 870 DPS and 4% stagger value. This is nearly impossible to stagger with but the DPS and range makes it an effective follow-up option to stuns on the move to get out more damage.
Its second sub weapon is a cannon pack with 850x3 power, 3 ammo, 4.5 seconds cooldown, 10 seconds reload, 2 seconds swap time, 550m range and 35%x3 stagger value. This has amazing splash radius and when scoped in can deal about 1300-1600 damage per hit to generals. The long swap time means this is by no means a guaranteed combo, but if you can manage to hit a scoped sniper shot and then land a scoped cannon burst you can deal around 10,000 damage to generals.

The LV2 GM Sniper III has 13000 HP, 15 ballistic resist, 23 beam resist and 10 melee resist. This is extremely squishy all things considered, even generals could finish you pretty quickly in melee if you aren't careful. This means you have to be extra careful with positioning while using this suit.
In terms of mobility it has 120 walk speed, 175 boosting speed, 60 thrust and 60 turning speed. It has great mobility at 400 cost, basically being just a little bit slower than generals. The mobility still holds up at 450 cost as well.
It also has LV1 Precision Snipe. This takes effect while scoped in and buffs ranged damage dealt by 30% at the cost of increasing weapon cooldown time by +25%. It also can inflict heavy stagger if the enemies legs or head is broken or becomes broken by a scoped in stun. This lowers your stun output but the burst damage potential it offers is immense, basically adding on another layer of type advantage.

In conclusion, I think that the GM Sniper III can be strong on the right maps, assuming that you have steady enough aim. Sniping can sometimes be awkward on a controller if you are at long range, so perhaps GM Sniper III would be stronger on PC where you have the advantage of steady mouse aim. Not to say that you shouldn't use it on the console version of GBO2, but that you might see more consistent results if you were playing with a mouse and keyboard. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!
