I had my first jam session with the BOSS GX10 straight out of the box, without tweaking a thing. I really wanted to see how well the presets held up on their own. I stumbled upon the "Prog Lead Tone" patch, and since I use low-output pickups, I simply cranked the gain and was instantly in shred mode! 🔥
For the backing track, I grabbed something off YouTube and improvised a short tune. What really impressed me was how great the GX10 felt and sounded, even without an amp. It seems like playing direct is the growing trend these days, and this pedal absolutely nails it—no buzzy, thin tones, just pure richness.
With so many venues relying only on monitors, the GX10 is a game-changer. I usually have my amps in the car just in case, but this might just be the best solution for gigs where you're going direct.

Backing track aku ambik dari YouTube je, main-main improv je kat situ. What surprised me the most—pedal ni sedap gila sound dia, even tanpa amp. Kan sekarang banyak orang suka main direct, and honestly, this GX10 handle direct setup macam pro. Takde bunyi buzzing ke apa, just nice and clear.
Banyak kali aku main kat gig, venue ada monitor system je, no amps. Selalu juga kena ready bawak amp dalam kereta (mana tau kan), tapi dengan GX10 ni, rasa macam tak perlu sangat dah. This pedal memang senang settle masalah macam ni, terus plug & play. Senang beb!
