Aldridge Memories - From VHS Produced 1998 by Ronald Smith

Aldridge Memories - The original VHS purchased from Bakers on the High Street in Aldridge for £10. Compiled in 1998 with views from The John Sale Collection - Presentation Stan Brookhouse - Research Don Heitzman - Video Production - Ronald Smith with thanks to Ian Eaton who did the transfer from VHS. In transferring it to youtube we have done little to the original video to keep its charm, just a little work on the sound. We met with John Sale who gave us his permission to release the video so that a new and wider audience could appreciate some of the history of Aldridge. John did say that anyone wishing to show their appreciation could make a donation to The Aldridge British Legion and support The Aldridge History Group. We are indebted to John, Stan, Don and Ronald who put the time and effort in to produce this work and hope that by making it available on you tube more people can learn a little of Aldridge recent history. I understand that there might be another VHS which we will try and track down. Please share your comments and thoughts.
