So SwitchBot, the company I’ve mentioned in my stories and from which most of you said you’ve never heard of them before. Here they are. Check it out, because summer is on it's way!

I was looking for a way to open and close my own curtains, because enduring the summer, I hated it that I constantly had to call and wait for someone to just open or close one of my curtains. Since I'm just a little stubborn, I didn't call and just cooked alive. 👩🏼‍🍳 On very hot days, the curtains just stayed closed, what felt like a ridiculous warm cave. Not only my cat didn’t liked those situations. 🙀

Then I found the curtain openers from SwitchBot. A relatively new company that makes commercial products to make your home smart. Last summer I bought five of their curtain bots 🤖 with solar panels, so that you never have to charge them. 🌤

You just hang those small fancy bots on your existing curtain rails (on the side that moves) and calibrate them in the SwitchBot-app. I’ve connected them to Alexa and Siri with the use of the SwitchBot hub, so I can even control my curtains with my voice. 🗣

But I’m not finished yet, because the SwitchBot Curtains aren't just very helpful, but they are smart. They have a built in light sensor in the bots, which means that the curtains will close and open fully automatically when they notice too much or too less light (fully adjustable in there app). 🕶

Now those very sophisticated curtains, which are just normal curtains btw, will keep my house, cat and me as cool as they can, even when I’m chilling on the other side of the world. 🏝

Two of my curtain bots had some problems, but after receiving some firmware updates (hilarious right, updating your curtains) that didn’t work good enough for mine, I’ve received two new ones! You can always send SwitchBot a message trough the SwitchBot app and they respond very fast and they are very nice and helpful people. 👏🏻

I love it that I finally can control my own curtains. Not just for a little less being cooked alive, but also just for my privacy. It’s awesome!!! 🦾
